I am Rosamond Veronica Kamara born in Sierra Leone, West Africa. The Country that took in the first free slaves from the Americas and the Europeans. I decided I wanted to visit this Country the very first time I learned about slavery. I told my family at a young age that I would be coming here even though I knew no one here that was going to sponsor me at the time. There has always been this unexplainable connection that I have felt with the Americas. So I came with the intention of studying to help my people back home in Sierra Leone and also join my people here in the fight for equality and Humanity. And that is what I have been doing ever since.

A recent HUMANITY FIGHT crusade I got caught on got me kicked out of the Charleston School of Law because I stood up against some oppressors that were oppressing Minorities at School. And Folks, if we cannot trust the legal institutions that are training the future JUSTICE UPHOLDERS of the VERY IMPORTANT judicial system that would play a very (IF NOT THE MOST) important part in equalizing the gap, then THE PROBLEM our Ancestors and the Warriors among us are fighting would NEVER have a chance at a PERMANENT SOLUTION. That crusade inspired me to enter into politics SOONER rather than LATER.

 

I have heard numerous times that "I should try to pretend until I get what I want before I fight" but that is not me. My conscience and humanity have never let me choose to sit quietly (because of selfish reasons) while unfairness occurs, so I fight and that is what I will continue to do once I win. To fight for BETTERMENT, UNITY, and HUMANITY for ALL South Carolinians.
